Uncover: A One-Day Intensive for Men Struggling with Sexual Addiction or Compulsive Behavior

Focused Time. Deep Insight. Real Recovery.

For many individuals navigating the painful realities of compulsive sexual behavior or addiction, weekly therapy alone isn’t always enough. When you’re in crisis, feeling stuck, or finally ready to face what’s underneath the patterns, a one-day intensive can create the focused space and clarity needed for real, lasting change.

Utilizing Patrick Carnes’ Facing the Shadow 30-Task Model and additional materials and resources, this intensive offers guided support for men and women ready to dig deeper into the roots of their behavior, break through denial and shame, and begin building a meaningful path forward.

This process is not about judgment—it’s about understanding. In a single day, we create space to look at your story honestly and compassionately, make sense of the behavior, and begin the foundational work of healing.

Who This Intensive Is For

  • Individuals ready to face the reality of their sexual addiction or problematic sexual behavior

  • Those who are new to recovery and need a structured, in-depth starting point

  • Clients who feel stuck in their current therapy or group process

  • Individuals in crisis after disclosure or discovery

  • Those who want to begin the work of accountability, insight, and healing—now

Schedule

Single-Day Intensive (Typically 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

  • Morning Session (3 hours)
We begin with a clear understanding of your goals, current concerns, and what’s brought you to this work. Through clinical and experiential exercises, we explore key themes from Facing the Shadow, including addiction cycles, denial patterns, and the cost of secrecy. You’ll begin mapping your behavior in a way that creates understanding—not shame.

  • Lunch Break (a chance to step away, get some food, and reflect)

  • Afternoon Session (3 hours)
The afternoon focuses on exploring your story—attachment wounds, family of origin, early messaging, and trauma history. We then begin identifying key takeaways, personal values, and next steps in your healing process. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a structured 30- to 90-day recovery plan tailored to your needs, including group, individual, or follow-up support options.

Location

Uncover Intensives take place in Orlando, Florida, in a private, quiet office setting designed to support focused reflection and honest emotional work.

To help with your planning, we offer a curated list of nearby accommodations—including hotels, Airbnbs, restaurants, and coffee shops—so your time here can be both productive and restorative. Many clients choose to combine the intensive with a short solo retreat for rest, clarity, and space to integrate the work.

In select cases, we may be available to travel to your location. If this would better support your experience, let’s talk—additional travel fees and arrangements will apply.

Virtual intensives may also be available upon request.

Initial Consultation

Before scheduling an Uncover Intensive, a 30-minute consultation is required. The consultation fee is $120.

This time allows us to assess your current situation, clarify your goals and expectations, and determine whether the intensive format is the best fit for where you are in your process. It’s also a space to ask questions and get a feel for the work ahead.
